Re: DUMBLE Trade Mark

... It would'nt probably be so easy  https://www.guitariste.com/share/users/forums/2023/07/amplification-trademark-223084.jpeg The current US trademark owners are well aware. The European mark owners obtained it fraudulently (as I understand it). I assume they plan to contest and/or overturn ...

Based on the geographic locations they are advertising, it seems they are betting on the estate not attempting to enforce IP rights outside of the US. It's a real shame and certainly there will be many an uneducated consumer who ends up disappointed.

Yeah, that's a bad bet.

Re: DUMBLE Trade Mark

They have been served with a CnD and have chosen to ignore it. They're only digging themselves into a deeper legal hole.
They've done jail time before, so they know to not drop the soap.

Re: Fender '65 Twin Reverb Repair

Here's my free "super five minute reverb diagnosis": Plug RCA cable into return jack, turn up volume, touch tip. Do you have buzz ? If the return works, plug in the output of the pan. Shake pan. If you get clank, output of pan is good. Switch pan wires, shake pan. If you get clank (reduced volume), ...

Re: The plate to cathode cap

If my memory serves me well, the Fuchs ODS had 470p snubbers We've dialed back the snubbers since we added an overdrive tone control on most of our models. Even the mods have internal tone trimmers, and the production stuff it's on the front panel. We've tried various values through the years actua...

Re: The plate to cathode cap

3dB at 10kHz? As a tone shaping option, that's not worth the price of the cap  Well, I (and Dumble) seem to disagree with you. When I first started playing with these circuits, I thought the snubbers were for stability or to prevent oscillation. I carefully build the circuits without them and...

I am so done with these Russian tubes. Fifty different "brands" on the same poor quality stuff. The fake tube pandemic Mike Matthews started, just so he could raise prices.

Interestingly enough, when Drew approached them at NAMM, they quickly put the Dumble one away and took this one out.

Let the fun begin....

Re: DUMBLE Trade Mark

As far as Reverb goes, not sure, but perhaps the estate has not yet approached Reverb about taking them down and stopping their sales.

These guys were at the NAMM show and were approached by Drew on behalf of the estate. They are well aware.
It will be interesting to see how this shakes out.

Re: Another tale of Dumble

Was there not a lawsuit about a "purple amp" ? I thought I'd heard Bonnie bought and paid for an amp that took so long to deliver, she took him to court, finally got the amp and then immediately sold it.
Ahhh, the stories.

Re: DUMBLE Trade Mark

They do have to find something to use the marks for, to maintain them. I have no idea what it might consist of or include at this point. They could just make and sell Dumble stickers. I'd put one on my rear window. I made the joke about bumper stickers and baseball caps, and they laughed and said "...

Re: DUMBLE Trade Mark

At this point, I must purposefully limit my comments, but I've had interactions with the folks who took things over, and they appear to be solid people. They include Drew Berlin, Dumble's brother, and a few other people who were close friends Dumble asked to take care of his affairs upon his passing...

Re: OPT driven reverb into second amp input

Take at look at Ampeg and/or Gibson-Maestro, both of whom drove reverb pan inputs with speaker outputs. I think the Super-Echo-Twin amp did this. The Gibson/Maestro units had alligator clips and you could connect to your primary amp and they had a reverb pan and a small power amp to add reverb to an...
