Re: SLO clone elevated heaters + regulated supply
Hey guys! It took the good part of this week's evenings, but I finally completed the PCB :D It supports both LDRs and Relay switching, plus elevated heaters and V1/V2 DC supply. All in a 400x78mm footprint. Attaching layouts and schematics, would love to get your opinion guys! Still haven't fully de...

SLO clone elevated heaters + regulated supply
Hello boys and girls! As you know, I have done several PCBs in the past, in particular hot rod, marshall and fender style boards. I got a lot of requests for a SLO style board, so I took some time last week to prototype a board in Eagle. I’d love to pick your brains on some improvements I want to ad...

Hello boys and girls! Queen's funeral here in the UK today, and it's a national holiday. This gave me some time to pursue some projects I always wanted to start but never had the time. As some of you might now, I have been selling PCB boards through my website for a while (https://www.aaelectronicsp...

Re: ODS 124 PCB Build
That was fun Huh! That's one of the F words I was saying. I kept hoping for an epiphany to point out some glaring obvious flaw, and when I finally got it I just shook my head and laugh/cried for a second. Thanks for the method. I'll employ that when I build my 183 :) Amazing work Prof! Just saw thi...

Re: AA Electronics Dumble PCBs feedback
Hahah really? To be fair I thought the purple color was a bit funky, but the overall result mesmerised me (attaching some pics here)! But again, quoting Cesar, "de gustibus non disputandum est" :D thanks for the feedback! https://i.ibb.co/4VxNV49/IMG-7355.jpg https://i.ibb.co/MsYLHbh/IMG-7356.jpg ht...

AA Electronics Dumble PCBs feedback
Hello everyone! I'm planning to have a new version of the boards produced soon, and I'd love your feedback. What are some things you would like changed in the boards? Are there some errors you found that I can correct in the next revision? Any comments regarding the documentation? I saw some of your...

Fender Blackface Boards
Happy New Year everyone 🙂 since London is in complete lockdown, I dedicated my last two weekends to create a board for Fender amps, that'll work for most of the tasty blackface models: Deluxe Deluxe Reverb Vibrolux Tremolux Band-Master Concert Vibroverb Super Reverb Showman Bassman Dual Showman Twin...

Re: Mod for marshall 50W 1986 Bass
Nothing really special about the small box, build a JCM 800 with a large 1st stage plate load resistor, 2k7 cathode resistors on both 1st and 2nd stage bypassed with 0.68 u caps, 820r 3rd stage // 22 u. Add snubber caps and grid stoppers to taste... Fairly standard Friedman, conventional master aft...

Mod for marshall 50W 1986 Bass
Hi guys, I've built a Marshall 1986 Bass 50W last year... I love the clean tone I can get out of it, however, I'm not able to get any crunchiness at acceptable volumes - lots of headroom... I tried to implement the Lar Mar PPIMV mod, but to me it sounds too harsh and not "creamy" enough... yesterday...
