Re: Post on Les Paul forums Re: New Rockets built on KF's bench

Personally, I think it's also BS, though he did seem to have his hands on that Komet 80...I would not pay $10K either...the "Great" state of Florida and the "Fabulous" Broward County School Board doesn't pay us teachers enough! I'm happy with Diana, my Rocket clone done by Paul Ruby, and it should ...

Re: Brown Note

The Brown Note kit is a fine item. The support, components and ultimate product are all top notch. Ange I'll second that. I've built a D'Lite44 and it was a breeze. The resulting amp rocks. I didn't have any trouble with the shipping being slow either. Just talk to Moss and he'll let you know every...

I like Telefunkens in my D'Lite but they aren't cheap.

Those tubes are all that I use in my D'Lite 44. They sound pretty damn good if you ask me!

Re: Ground Lift/Phase switch?

I almost always run multi-amp setups, whether it's my own or when I'm working on the SC gig. I now ALWAYS have a Radial Hotshot ABY box around in case of any ground loops or other weird buzzes or hums. The 'B' output of this particular Radial box has a transformer and switches to lift ground and fli...

Re: Mayer on Conan

I Bought a TS 10 when they first came out.. a good one.... Used that pedal on about 1000 gigs...It was slightly boxier sounding than the 808 but was smoother creamer and the sweep on the tone control was mo better than the 08's... My pedal board got ripped off a few years back.. ever since Iv'e bee...

Re: Finally a JM performance I liked...

On the floor there's a Klon, TS10, some (white/tan) Boss pedal, and a blue ______, and some other stuff. I'm pretty sure that's a Boss tuner, A TS10 (probably still one of Stevie's), a Klon and I think the blue pedal is a Way Huge Aqua Puss. It sure looks like a AP and when he steps on it at the be...

Re: Rocket build

However, Ken Watts has used the 18 watt heyboer tranny set and it works very well the design is in the circuit so it isn't going to be like a Marshall 18 just because you use the trannies? I build this amp and it is a nice sounding amp. Mark I agree Mark. I was just thinking the West Labs set would...

Re: Rocket build

Hmmm. Well, as the Rocket is essentially an AC30 platform, I would think that you'd be best to go more in the way of something AC15-ish transformer-wise. The West Labs 15w set would probably be perfect, like in the Matchless Lightning. Also, check out the Brownnote Voxy Brown for something that coul...
