Re: How to go about selling a trainwreck clone
Make a demo video. The better it sounds, the closer you’re likely to get to what you want for it.

Re: Tech near upstate NY to service my Marshall?
Just to eliminate the obvious, but are you sure it isn’t just the buzzy hum of a valve with imperfect heater - cathode insulation, eg fitted into V1? The 2k7 // 0.68uF partial cathode bypass opens the door to that issue. Heater elevation can eliminate it (as can fitting a different valve). Yes, I’v...

Re: Tech near upstate NY to service my Marshall?
I have that same question, why do you want it reworked? What is it not doing to your liking now? I'm in Cairo/greene county, moving to canajoharie/Montgomery county sometime in October so does it have a problem or are you wanting to do it "just 'cause"? i tend to try to talk folks out of unnecessar...

Tech near upstate NY to service my Marshall?
Hello and thanks for reading. I’m looking for someone within a couple hour drive from Albany New York who would be interested in doing some work on my JMP. Long story short, looking to have the "Larry ground scheme" implemented. If this sounds like something you’re interested in, or you have the con...

Re: Tubes? Speaker? Other?
I built a deluxe reverb clone. Low hum, low noise, but the amp just sounds way too ... punchy is the word that comes to mind. I'm referring more about the initial note attack. It sounds kinda hard for lack of a better word. I'm using an ET65 speaker. Amp is biased around 20 ma. I'm using tung sol 1...

Re: Unidentified clone
What makes you think that an amp has to being built from a kit? I like how it looks, by the way. Have fun with it! Thats a good question. I just assumed that it was built from a kit because there was no brand on the cabinet. Here is a picture of it. My wife thinks the color is why it was being offe...

Re: I’ve been away, advise requested
Far from an electronics expert here, but my 2 cents. It did have a bit of a "splatty" sound to the distortion that reminds me of a tube being hit too hard. Your cleans sound fine, so it makes me think you should try backing down the level hitting the OD circuit with the internal OD trim, and/or lowe...

Re: Framus mid control?
The Duncan tone stack calculator is online now and has that control. By playing with the values, you can get a lot of interesting curves. Also, at 10 there is almost no insertion loss. Perfect for a tweed amp to add versatility. https://www.guitarscience.net/tsc/framus.htm#RIN=1k&R1=50k&RM=1M&RL=1M&...

Re: AA Electronics Dumble PCBs feedback
Hello everyone! I'm planning to have a new version of the boards produced soon, and I'd love your feedback. What are some things you would like changed in the boards? Are there some errors you found that I can correct in the next revision? Any comments regarding the documentation? I saw some of you...

Hello and thanks for looking. I was hoping someone here could point me in the direction of a tech with dumble experience who can work on a clone I picked up on a trade. Members here are welcome to respond as well. Preferably near N.Y.
