Re: 4 4 0 loud hum

now its quiet. lead dressing and the board is re arranged. btw, i used 12ay7 on all three, the amp has very nice clean sound but the distortion doesn't start untill i turn volume to 80%. i guess its because 12ay7 has less gain. thank you.

Re: 4 4 0 wiring help needed

it is a 120v pilot light wired to the heater wires through two black resistors as shown in the pic. i am okay with not functioning. does a bad pilot light cause any issue!

shown with two red arrow on the picture.

Thank you guyz a bunch.... :D now two more issues: - - the pilot light stays off but the amp is making sound ? how can this be! - hum noise at volume 0. and becomes very noisy as i turn up the volume. when i turn the eq knobs the noise level/type changes at the same time. wh...

Re: 215c Output Transformer wiring question

Yes, I am using a 6SN7 as a power tube. I am looking at the chart and yes the tap 2 and 4 will be connected to the speaker jack positive and negative and i will swap them only if it squeals. Since i do not need other ohms setting i wont' use the impedance switch and that makes it lot easier. correct...
