Dumbleator Chassis
Funk, I'm curious what type of chassis enclosure you are planning to use for your Dumbleator builds. Any suggestions regarding vendors with quality pre-manufactured 1 space rack units? Would you be willing to share your schematic for use with the transformers you are ordering. I really don't know wh...

Re: Dumbleator Interest??
Please count me in for one as well. Your a damn nice guy to continue to source chassis, cabs and now Dumbleator trannies at your own financial risk for all of us strangers. Thanks in advance Funk!!!!

Re: Small FX loop for clones
Thanks for posting! That is the first layout with power supply I've seen for the Dumbleator. Several have suggested it improves the tone of the amps. What's your opinion?
I look forward to your pics.

Re: after much thought.......
I can address your question regarding the Marshall OT and Fender Twin OT in the same build. I mistakenly got a Marshall 100wt OT delivered eventhough I had ordered a Fender Twin OT. Due to impatience I installed it anyway in my Non-HRM 90's precision powersupply build. I tried both EL34's and 6L6's ...

Re: #84 Sounds Really Really Sweet !!!
Due to your conversations in this thread I spent some time with my amp today and tweaked the NFR up to ~6.7K. It really increased the amps sensitivity and touch response. Now I have that wonderful singing bloom so characteristic of the Dumble amp at my finger tips like never before. This is really a...

Now how about some gut shots and a schematic like the rest of us amp pirates and bootleggers post.

Re: Two Rock Custom Sig
Thanks for the great answers and the Aiken article. I always forget to recheck his site and then someone goes and points out another one of his excellent articles on a fundamental aspect of amplifiers I failed to realize the significance of the first time I read it. I'm surprised no one has commente...

I found this link on Gear page tonight. http://www.online-discussion.com/Tonequest/viewtopic.php?t=130 An interesting read. The TR guys (~2/3 of the way down) talk about component selection as being the critical aspect of building an outstanding amp. Surprisingly they allowed a couple pics of their ...

Re: Today's Dumble ODS 50 watt values ?
If you would be so kind to post some very detailed pictures of ALL the internal components I'm sure we can determine for you the authenticity and era of the amplifier. If you have voltage measurements go ahead and post those as well. As far as value goes, Funks chassis for $155, couple hundred for t...

Re: # 0124 Schematic
Very nice of you to take the time to work out the schematic. Thank you. I did notice the bypass caps on V2a & V2b (OD1, OD2) are noted as 4.7uF on Gil's written layout rather than 10 uF as indicated on your schematic. The spreadsheet in the other thread is very interesting as well!!

Thank you guys. Hopefully I will be proud enough to post some pictures after I finish. It's a really cool faux black Ostrich leather material (actually not even tolex) I was able to purchase wholesale for $35/yd.

Tolexing Help
I am tolexing my first cabinet for my ODS and haven't found any good tutorials on the subject. I would appreciate any experienced thoughts about the process. I purchased some expensive material and want to get it right the first time. I am concerned about how to get it to adapt well for the top inse...
