Re: V2 Plate resistor values

Very interesting. Thank you for the explanation Funk. It is so much more useful when you know the "why" behind the values in these circuits.

Mouser has all kinds. I'm surprised they don't have what your looking for.

Re: Speaking of reverb... My next project

Very cool idea Gary!!! A standalone reverb, Dumbleator. Would you mind sharing your schematic/layout with the group. I'm sure many others would like to do the same build, maybe even HAD, to go along with their amps. I am especially interested in how your doing the power supply section.

Re: Preferred relays? Relay power circuit?

Funk,

If there are 5 wires going to the connector, how would one wire the 4pin XLR?

What is the difference/advantage to an XLR versus a DIN connector?

Thanks for your help.

Fake Books Resource

Just a little diversion for you. Here is a great link to a collection of Fake Books I recently found. Scroll down to the middle of the far right column. Those ought to keep you busy with your new amps. Hope you enjoy!

Re: Omar - file size attachment limit reached.

I agree with Michael Omar. I think the total for ALL the attachments on the forum is the limit, not an individuals limit. Anyway, I did just try after logging off and back on again. Same error message. Good Luck with this!!

Omar - file size attachment limit reached.

Hey Omar, Thanks so much for this new forum. I tried to attach a file this am and get the following message: "Sorry, but the maximum filesize for all Attachments is reached. Please contact the Board Administrator if you have questions." The attachment was only ~150kb. Let us know when its corrected.

Sorry, I get this error message when trying to attach my wiring diagram. It may take Omar a bit to correct. I will post it when possible.

Re: Need help wiring footswitch jack...

Is this what your looking for. I'm no expert but this works well for me and is dead quiet. Attached is the wiring diagram I used for the Channel Switching and the Boost Switch. The switches are NTE R4D 12v from Mouser. Consult the pdf on the Mouser site for the wiring diagram, its just like a DPDT. ...

Re: Planning my next build

My understanding of the Dumbleator loop is that it contributes nicely to the tone by itself without effects being used. I had read this in the past and Glasman recently posted that it was a necessary component of Robben Fords tone. I used Heyboer transformers, a Fender Blackface twin PT and Marshall...

Re: Chassis Interest?

Funkalicousgroove speaks the truth. I purchased one of his chassis's for my build and couldn't be happier with the quality. Nice heavy aluminum, consistent powder coating application and nice, detailed screen printing. The edges were all nicely welded with smooth corners. You guys won't be disappoin...

The TR Ruby uses it for a nice effects loop. Check out the schematic.
