Hmm...I actually like the smell of burning phenolic resin. Guess it reminds me of the core binder in a mold in the foundry. Got to love the smell of your livelihood! If you find that the black looks bad from scratches, etc., you can use a scotchbrite pad to scuff a flat finish on the board. That loo...

That layout looks great to me. With the room you have it wouldn't really matter if it wasn't a good layout. 8^)

OK here's a couple more shots at a little higher resolution. I used Sozos and BC/Phoenix metal films, West metal films, a couple Riken carbon films and Mallory filters. I am running quite a low plate voltage now at about 378VDC, but the rest of the rail is just about right on the voltages on the Kel...
