One correction I need to make is that the caps are actually Mallory 150's, not Sozos. Oops...

Just got my MiniWreck!!!
Hi all, Late last year I ordered a MiniWreck from Steve Liberty here on the board and it showed up last week. Before I go into the amp (amazing), I need to say that Steve is not only a great builder/designer, he’s probably the nicest guy I’ve dealt with in many years. Over the course of the build he...

Re: New Liverpool Done!
I can only hope my Express turns out 1/2 as nice as your build! Very, very nice. Dying to hear some clips of the amp.

Re: Proximity of pots and tubes
Back in the day a lot of amp mod guys (when working on Marshall's) used to punch a preamp tube hole in between v2 and v3 on the preamp side. I always thought that it was really tight and that there would be issues with interference, but I guess it wasn't an issue. Funny thing, on most of the Marshal...

Re: Marshall 4x10 for Express?
I'm all about experimenting, especially when it's outside the Marshall voice which is where I've spent the most time. After years of working on that sound I know what I like there. Moving forward I think the combination of a 4x10 with the Express will be very interesting. I like the 65's a lot too.....

Re: Marshall 4x10 for Express?
Hey telewacker, That's an interesting idea. Most of the 4x10's I've played through have been of the Fender variety with an open back. Being that it's a Marshall it's going to have a closed back and will have a tighter sound than a Fender. What year is the cabinet? I haven't heard Celestion 35's befo...

Re: Noobee here: Any TW owners in the AZ area?
Alright, I figured that question was a longshot so let's try this. Are there any TW clone owners or builders here in the Phoenix area? It would be great to check one out in person or get a few builders together. I've got a great Marshall tech here locally that's into this idea but again, he has no T...

Noobee here: Any TW owners in the AZ area?
Hi All, I've just come across this forum and have lurked for a while. How nice it is to see so many folks passionate about amps and building. I spend a lot of time at the Plexi Palace forum since I'm also a huge Marshall fanatic, but since the 80's I've wanted an Express. Silly me, spent all my mone...

Re: A quick clip of my TWreck clone
Hey ricks57custom
That's an amazing sounding clip! We're neighbors here in Scottsdale as well. It would be great to talk sometime as I'm really into Marshall's and building amps. Shoot me an email at steveo13@cox.net if you have some time and we'll talk.
Thanks
Steve
