Bob,
Good to hear it's up and running. I remember seeing the troubleshooting thread.
Maybe I missed it but what was the problem in the cab vs. out of the cab?
Thanks

Cap on Standby Switch
Working on a Tweed Bassman (5e6a) for a friend. New power cord, remove death cap, filter caps etc. There is a .05u/600v cap from the standby switch to ground. It has been replaced with a 600v 715 series cap. Should this be removed or replaced with a safety rated cap? http://ampwares.com/schematics/b...

Re: Fender Tweed Twin Reissue JB Edition
It does indeed have the typical pair of 100r resistors to ground as well as a back to back pair of 12v zeners from center tap to ground.

Fiber Board / Cap Pan Screws...
Anyone here know the correct screw type and size used on Blackface fiber boards, cap pans and small transformers??
Doing an order with McMaster and would like to get some if they have them.
Thanks!

Re: Princeton reverb bad distortion
Once your voltages are sorted out...
Adding a very large (470k - 1M) grid stopper to the phase inverter can do wonders for the overdrive/distortion when cranked.
