Re: True Dumble stories as told by Rick Wheeler
Yep, I know how it works here. Been here since 2007. This OP is a false flag.

Re: True Dumble stories as told by Rick Wheeler
I guess no one cares that this obvious self promotion post by grammatico was posted on the gear page as well as here. It was called out as false on the gear page with supporting evidence from many, including a person or two that knows all names mentioned. After which it was deleted a day later by th...

Re: 100W ODSR ON THE BAY
Dumbest idea ever. A few of these had reverb ONLY on clean tones....not sure why it evaded Dumble to get a reverb circuit that would handle both clean and dirty.... Interesting. Ive owned 2 still own one and have played 5 in total. None had reverb only on clean. The reverb also worked on perf...

Re: Dumble modded marshall
LOL that amps true tone is 100 fold more than you can imagine. Hes using the pedal to boost. If you think all that depth, width and harmonic complexity comes from a pedal or "fingers" then all you need is a pedal and a crate. Try it and see where that gets ya.

Re: TWO ROCK EMERALD PRO REVISITED 5 years later
Ahhh the circle of life. I still have yet to play anything that really sounds like my Dumbles.

Re: Trademark Infringement
Not that I care one way or the other but If I'm not mistaken the trademark had a 10 year window and according to the US trademark office it was filed for in 99. So unless Scott or Mona renew it looks like it's up for grabs. It's strikes me odd that the siblings that know nothing about amps and only ...

Re: I said I would never do this.....
Showman are every bit as good as any 60s twin. But since they are much cheaper at least when I bought them why not?? I should have had you rebuild them all

Re: Ethos Pedal
I bought an ethos and just shipped it off to its new owner today. I have several D clones as well as a couple Dumbles. I find the best pedal out there is the zendrive. It makes a good fender amp pretty damn close to a good dumble (at least in the mix). If you put a timmy in front of it sounds even b...

Re: D'Lite Blue Monkey?
I just took possession of the Blue Monkey Norm is speaking about. I have about 2 hours on it so far and I must say this thing is awesome. I have many Dumble type amps and a couple Dumbles and this creation fits right in with the good stuff. Well done Moss.

Re: Opinions sought on FX units that like D'lators.
Look for units that keep the main signal in an analog path. This minimizes the tone suck. There are several that will do the job. Of course the TC2290, as you said out of reach of most. Rocktron Intellifex - ~$150 used. Rocktron Xpression - ~300 to 350 New. I know Mr Ayan really likes the Intellife...

Re: Dumble #205 on Ebay
I have a 2x12 from 94 that has 8 screws. I am pretty sure it is original since I got it from the man himself. Also, Tom Andersons combo was from that same era it also only had 4 scerews on the back.

Re: Dumble #205 on Ebay
There is nothing "incorrect" about that amp. It is identical to the one that Tom Anderson owned.

I am assuming since a straight HRM build its el34s but damn it if it doesn't sound like 6l6s. This tone is beautiful.

Re: Alexander and me...
The problem is Alexander is an artist in his mind and perhaps he is. A meeting with fender execs probably only fuels the reasons he won't take his designs public. I can imagine the first words. "We think we have a way to produce your amp for under $500 and still make a profit of about $162 a piece. ...

I think it would be interesting to send him a clone as a gift and see what he thinks.
