Re: Sick Lil' Devil
The Little Devil should have a perforated metal back panel that the speaker jack mounts to. This will help relieve the stress on the jack and also provide a RF shield. As far as not sounding like it should, I would have to actually hear what it sounds like. If you want to send it to me I will repair...

Re: VVR3 - Hall Amplification -where can I buy a kitor PCB
Hey guys. Here is the update on the VVR. I have shut down my webpage for a couple reasons. First the company who hosted it kept raising prices on me each year. I'll probably move it to one that doesn't cost so much. Don't know when yet. You can get to me on Hall amplification group on Facebook. It i...

Re: 5902 design problems
The two 470k I'm talking about are the two 470k resistors after the coupling caps going to the grids of the power tubes. They act as a load to the triodes in the phase inverter and provide a reference to ground for the power tube grids. If they don't measure the same or the wrong value was accidenta...

Re: 5902 design problems
Have you tried a different tube ? Is this the bread boarded version or the PI in the amp. Check your 470k resistors and make sure they measure the same.

Re: 5902 design problems
I'm using a 1k and 39k on the cathode of the PI and 100k resistors for the PI plate resistors and this is on the 6112 PI. Also use 1 meg from the PI tail to the grids of the 6112. That's how my PI is set up. I would think that the lower value resistors on the plates and grids may be throwing things ...

Re: 5902 design problems
dana i actually emailed you about the transformers you had built. i modeled my first pi and power tube section off the schematic you said you used the trainwreck schematic. i found it to not work for me. but i might be making newbie mistakes. i am aiming for a 2 channel build with a fender clean an...

Re: 5902 design problems
For what it's worth I'm using a 6.6k output transformer and my B+ voltages average between 170-180 volts on the plates. I set my bias using a scope to adjust it for no zero crossing distortion in the output and after setting it, it came out to -30 to -32 volts of bias. After building over 100 of the...

Wierd, who knows what to believe these days in regards to Peavey. They have gotten a lot of bad press lately after the Undercover Boss episode a few months back.

Re: Muscle Cars?
It's a kit but it was a turnkey that was built on a custom tubular frame at the factory in 1988. Porsche never made a 356 with flared fenders and even if they did I couldn't have afforded it LOL I'm now in the process of installing a new red leather interior and new German canvas top. Just got one m...

Re: Behringer is trash
Heck of a report Dana. I hope you mean "accepted on many riders" not "excepted" - the words have opposite meanings. In most buyer/users minds brands acquired by B means "gone to hell." I refuse to work on their gear: no parts available, no correct schematics, no company support. Disposable prices. ...
