you can use either 6l6 or el34s, they have different sounds

and yes it is one of the schematics for the HRM

I am going to build a 4x6v6 and have a marshall plexi 50watt transformer sitting aroung with 3.4k. Would this be ok for a 4x6v6 power section. I am after the 50/25 option and like the 6v6 tube.

6.6k for 2 x 6v6 ( like deluxe reverb)

3.3k for 4 x 6v6

is this right?

im not familar with 7581 tubes? I would like to be at 75watts though. two 6550 or kt88 can do that. a twin reverb output transformer is 2k and can handle 80watts( this i have ). maybe play with the speaker loadto get 4k on the tubes? I Dont know how to set this up as far as what output trans ratio t...

It is hard to decide which to buid, i like the blues more than hard rock. I love the sound of a strat turned up. I have heard that the liverpool was voiced for a strat also does that mean that there is less gain?

i just recieved my chassis for my wreck and d clone. I am going to be asking questions on the wreck and it would be nice to do the same on the dumble

i was wondering if any one had installed a switch to remove the third gain stage kind of a fendery/wreck switch?

i am still waiting on the rest of my parts and tring to have the layout finished by the time they arrive?
