Relay Power Supply corrected.
I corrected the power supply page of the schematic posting... the relay power voltage doubler runs off of the 5V secondary, NOT the center tapped heater secondary.

Re: Cathode Biased tone?
Cathode bias warms up the sound of normal Fender type amps but is not needed on clone builds. I had a switchable one one the first clone project that I later removed and I've never looked back. The tone is in the preamp - the output section should be as clean as possible. If you must try one here's...

Re: Cathode Biased tone?
try it and see! I will be glad to do that, eventually. So far I've been building single-ended ultralinear amps and tube distortion pedals... I haven't yet got a push-pull platform to try it on. I'm gearing up for a PP build, and I think I've got a taste for the D'Lite design... but opinions and exp...

Cathode Biased tone?
Maybe a dumb question, but I see sooo many differing opinions, I'd like the Dumble forum to weigh in on this... How much 'tone' is attributed to the fixed bias output stages I see on the Dumble schematics? What about cathode biased as an alternative? What should I expect to be different in the sound...

D'Lite Schematic
I have seen a few requests for a schematic of the D'Lite... thought I'd give ExpressSCH a try and here is a (draft) schematic of the D'Lite with Relays from Normster's web page (the one I'd like to build someday). This is just the circuit proper, I haven't done the power supply and shown the relay c...

Eliminating an ODS-HRM tone stack.
This is an interesting question/problem to me. It is not clear to me whether or not you can get away with just the post distortion stack... Wouldn't the pre-amp tone stack alter the character of the signal enough that it would effect where and how the distortion kicks in? This is something I've been...
