Dumble style pedals on That Pedal Show
That Pedal Show on You Tube did an episode on Dumble style pedals so I thought I would let everyone know about it. I have enjoyed and learned from this show and found it to be fun and informative. Merry Christmas to all>

Speakers in a Boogie TL806 style cab
I had a few minuets today to try some different speakers in the Boogie cab. The original EVM 12L sounded great as well as an old EV SRO though the SRO was not as loud. I like the SRO in the closed back cab but not in a open back cab that I have. Finally I tried my JBL E120, awful. No low end and sou...

Re: 5x3 6L6 deluxe
I built a 5e3 with the smaller coupling caps since I red about the amp being woofy with humbuckers. I am very happy with mine and I also use a treble booster on the normal channel to color the sound and get the sustain and gain I want. This is a great amp as a platform for dirty rhythm and lead play...

Has anyone built a tl806q
I know it will not be movable unless the speakers are removed or one has access to a forklift but i was wondering how the cabinet sounds compared to a standard tl806

Re: Oak Head and Speaker Cab
Well made head and cab, I have not heard and oak cabinet so i am curious as to how it sounds compared to cherry or maple in open back cabs. I am using mostly EVM 12Ls

Re: sro in thiel cab
Thanks Jazz and David I will keep what you said in mind. Right now i am leaning toward building my own open back cab for it. I have it in a two 12 open cab now and it is mellow compaired to my evm 12L.

sro in thiel cab
Has anyone put an SRO in a thiel style cabinet? Is that speaker to smooth for that style cab. Also how much louder is the thiel cab built from EV plans than the Boogie Thiel?

Re: Finished my 5E3 Deluxe build
Great job on your amp. Very clean!!! I hope my next 5e3 will look closer to your build. I am going to try using 150 caps instead of the orange drop 715s. I built mine as a head and am using it with an old EV12Ls. It can rock or be very clean at low volume. It does hum some but not too bad. Mostly us...

Re: To HRM Or Not?
I am also desiding what i want to build. I was leaning toward a Low Plate Classic 124 or 2nd Generation but after reading the great review of Jelle's HRM I am not so sure. The Lance Keltner You Tube of a Bludotone makes the choosing very hard. Now i understand why so many members build more than one...

Re: Any DIYers Used a SLO style chasis for ODS build?
Thank you Er. The 20x8x2.5 chasis is a possibility and looks close to traditional size. The head will be heavy but there is no substitute for 100 watts for playing clean.

Any DIYers Used a SLO style chasis for ODS build?
I am thinking about building an ODS this year and i have some very heavy iron. Also the power transformer is stand up marshall style so I am concerned about a twin style cut out in the chasis reducing strength so that is why I am considering the SLO style. Other wise would I would use more tradition...

Re: New Builder seeks advice re: Tweed Deluxe "Dumble Mods&
a 5e3 is a wonderful amp. If you want more gain while keeping a classic rock tone try using a clone of a Range Master treble booster. sounds great with this amp. I also keep the 12ay7 in the first position. A 12ax7 does add more gain but I like the treble booster and the 12ay7 best. Good luck with y...

Re: Boogie MKIIB ....... hmmm
also don't give up on the lead chanel. if you want to smooth it out try pushing it with an overdrive pedel like a Fulldrive or ts808. I also liked to hit the lead chanel with a germanium booster i built to give the amp a bit more gain. I also turn the presance control down when the amp is turned up ...
