broken presence help please...
I have an amp that i had built in a princeton reverb chassis about 20 years ago.. Somewhere along the way i stole the presence pot out of it for another project and when i put it back i have never gotten it to work again.. amp sounds fine but no presence control and its just a OCD thing making me nu...

Man this is gonna be a stupid question but i have to.... i have been using 24ga teflon wire in my amps.. Is there actually too small of a gauge that will affect sound?

Thanks guys.. i will grab a pair of inexpensive newer ones for now and see how it works.. this amp is reallly insane on how its built, and a nightmare to do anything in, would rather avoid modding if i dont have to:)

Hi guys, havn't played with amps in a couple of years, but with winter coming i need a hobby.. soo i decided to pull out some older items and check them over.. I had someone give me a mid 60's epiphone zephyr ea15-rvt (i think), its basically a gibson ga25-rvt with 7591's Basically when you fire it ...

Old fenders make great starting places to make a good amp:) I have one princeton reverb that is cut down to head size, with traynor 50watt iron, thing is a monster in a small package:) My bassman is now a ODS... And just this last week i turned my 70 princeton reverb into a 6G15:) getting more into ...

my bandmaster is covered in snakeskin liek that:) one of my princetons is in tooled leather.. totally love that tolex:)

or get an AC Cobra and work on it...when she's done, you could take her for a spin and see how you manage...slide ze mother...get that blood pumpin... thanks guys, i will have to look into that.. as my B+ setup is rigged at best:) You can see it plain as day in both power tubes when it happens... will figure it out eventually:)

I do computer work actually.. i work like 60-65 hours a week.. and nothing to do on my time off

i couldn't handle not working, my time off work is spent waiting to go back to work... don't know how retired guys handle it

yeah, its basically a new amp, built it awhile back.. i moved it back to its normal 4x12 with the airbrake and the problem went away... will figure it out if something smokes:)
