Sometimes if I want lower volume I use an inefficient speaker. Everyone these days wants loud amps with loud speakers. Try using an older/used speaker, I’ll like the older Celestions, Rocket 50’s or the L magnets.

I got one last year that had replaced PT and OT. As well as having some weird boost board installed. But the circuitboard and pots hadn’t been touched.
I removed the mods, gave it a service and installed some Hammond transformers. Perfecto! One of my favourite amps.

Yes, #002 is built in a ODRS chassis, literally. You can actually see the model underneath the Steel String Singer label!

Fun little project! Those coupling caps are original to the amp. Every now and then these capacitors were used. I have seen some amps with half Mustards and half these. Usually on the Bass amps. Pots and input jacks look good too. Easiest way to tell what’s been replaced/messed with is the red paint...

Nice build! I haven't built a Bluesmaster, yet.
But I'd have to have an external OD tonestack. I couldn't help myself tweaking the trimmers all the time!

Ok I took one for the team and made a couple clips with the amp at volume. It's ridiculously loud, but once I got it there I realized it was doing the thing we're all lookin for....at least very close. My sloppy playing reflects the fact that I was completely a deer in headlights, as I was shocked ...

Version 3 attached. I think we're getting closer. Judging by the physical size, the preamp Ck look smaller than the 25uf used through out the rest of the amp. Guessing they could be 5uf? @Smokebreak3, Taylor has 5 filter stages in his version. Regarding the HI and LO inputs, still a bit of a mystery...
