Re: Carlton - which Dumble is this?

Here's Ford and Carlton (Boulder Theatre) playing the same song (Cold Cold) where they are both using Bludo's. Obviously there are a ton of variables in recording, etc., but the Bludo's seem darker and less defined than the Dumbles when the two clips are played back to back. NOT stirring. Just sayin...

Re: can anyone tell me about this dumbe?

The cosmetics certainly don't look 1989 - 1990. States no epoxy. Re-worked to 89- 90 specs? If so. By who would be a BIG question for me.

Re: New 183 Video

Amazing videos. Thanks for posting those!!

Hard to tell in the videos. Is that just a T-Rex Roomate in the loop with no D-Lator or is Matt using a D-Lator in that video with the amp?

Thanks!

Re: Clover amp

Thanks. Agreed. Staco makes a decent Variac that will work for this. (just got off the phone with them actually) 4.8 amps at 230 volts AC. Expensive with the built in voltmeter though. Yikes!! I'll contact the builder and see about a different transformer. I know Van Weelden went through the same th...

Re: Clover amp

The amps are made in Italy and they are designed to run on 230 volts AC. What problems does that cause if one wanted to use one of these amps in North America on 120 volts AC? I'm assuming there are transformers available to convert 120 to 230? Other than the hassle, does this cause any problems wit...

Re: Robben playing a Two Rock?!

Cool! Thanks. :) It is the TS1 in the videos. And the amp is no longer being stored. RF told me and others that he would always just play his Dumble and this may have contributed to the new development. As far as I know, the TS1 was sold to a thrid party. Guys, Robben is in no way playing a TS1. I b...

Re: Robben playing a Two Rock?!

Guys, Robben is in no way playing a TS1. I believe "his" TS1 was sold to a third party. Just clarifying. Hi Scott. I'm assuming you mean RF is not playing a TS-1 currently? You agree that is certainly a Two-Rock (most likely the TS-1) in those videos though? Correct? According to Two-Rock RF's TS-1...

Re: Robben playing a Two Rock?!

Yeah, I've heard he has problems with flashes but didn't know about just taking video or a still picture without flash. What, is he worried he won't get paid for the picture? Talking about Two Rock and how the Premier Builders Guild bought them out. Pretty smart of those guys to sell out before the...

Re: Robben playing a Two Rock?!

Thanks for posting Larsmuller, To my ears, I think it sounds too stiff and buzzy, compared to his regular clips. It also seems to be giving him trouble with his playing! He doesn't seem as relaxed as usual. Cheers, Paul. I was doing some research on the Two-Rock TS-1 and came across this old thread...

Re: Dumble Overdrive Special Made In England

Music Ground has been BAD news for years and years. I bought some stuff off them 15 years ago that was pure junk when it showed up. Glad to see they have finally been caught. I hope they get the proverbial book thown at them
