Re: Looking for tube reliability input
I am seeking input from this forum regarding tube relability. Specifically, Mesa Boogie's recommendation to replace their premium tubes every two years. This guidance is quite unusual to me. I own several vintage amplifiers with RCA tubes dating back to the 1960s—specifically, four amplifiers housin...

Re: Hammond AO-35 build
Friends, I've just finished converting an AO-35 and encountered some issues due to the lack of a layout. At the time of this posting there is definetly no Layout anywhere on planet earth. Maybe in the bowels of the Hammond archive. The schematic is everywhere (its attached to this post). To help und...

Re: What are these capacitors?
Thanks I did go through it from input to output. I put the Hayseed Can Cap in it, supposed to be much higher quality then the CS. I have left the Mallories & Paktrons in for now. It sounds great very quiet. I included a before (purchased a year ago) and after refurbishment.
Thanks Chris
Thanks Chris

Re: What are these capacitors?
I googled ITW Paktron Brown, you are absolutely correct!. Waiting for the new caps to replace the white Mallories then I am looking firward to hearing what the sound like. I wanted to make sure they dont have a bad reputation like the white mallories.

And of course the nice Blue Mallories everyone wants. But I have not seen Orangish Brown. I was wondering if they are vintage Orange drops tha...

What are these capacitors?
Friends I am refurbishing a 1969 Drip edge Princeton. There are these Brownish/Orange caps (picture attached). Are they Spragues? Mallories? Are they sought after? Thanks

Schematics and Layouts
Friends has anyone run across a "LAYOUT" diagram for a Fender Studio Bass amp, made between 77-80? I have the schematic but the Layout diagram I just cant find. Any help would be appreciated. They are quite complex amps with the inductioin EQ and the six "6L6gc's".
Thanks
