What would you guys recommend for a cheaper tube tester? Preferably under $200. Thanks!

Re: In-circuit testers
Lol, that's actually where I heard of them, too. Just curious if anyone else has had experience with them.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Aluminum vs Steel chassis
Which type do you guys prefer? If you use steel, how are you drilling it? When I drill steel, it always leaves a pile of steel around the whole , not a clean whole

In-circuit testers
Hey guys,
Any of you guys using in-circuit testers (resistance, capacitance) when troubleshooting amps? If so, what do you recommend? If not, why not?
Thanks!

Which signal generator would you recommend?

I'm getting more into amp building (I've built 2 Champs, 2 18W Lite IIBs, and a Lightning) and have been fortunate that they've all worked the first time. But I know the day will come when I'll need to troubleshoot a bui...

Re: Recommend a good bench power supply?
Well, I want to be able to test trannies and anything I need for amp building. I've built 2 hand wired champs and a pcb 18W, but I'm wanting to get deeper into amp building, so I'm making my wish list of things I'll need.

How to test a PT and OT?
A little background: A friend of mine has a Harmony H306 and he wanted me to get it working. I've built 2 hand-wired champs and an 18W pcb amp (all three worked the first time), so my soldering skills are good, but I'm trying to develop my troubleshooting skills. I open the amp up and it looks origi...
