I downloaded LT Spice and created the V1a section of the SSS just for kicks and when I try to run the simulation I get this error;
"Unknown sub circuit called in xv1a n002 n005 n006 triode"
I didn't create a heater node, would this be the problem?
Triode model is Duncan's.

Re: Evolution of SSS
It also only has 1 LNFB like the 80's ods (ie #124) Do you mean the 4 10M resistors and the 0.05uF cap from the plate of V1b to it's grid? Yes, from what I recall someone who had access to the amp wrote...it is somehwere in this thread.... http://ampgarage.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=412&hilit=du...

Re: reverb tank + sss filters + build
Sorry, I'm probably not being clear about what I'm asking. I have the same switch in your pic. But take a look at the pic I posted. See how your switch has only 8 terminals, the one in the pic I posted has extra terminals, the other side (common side) of the caps are each connected to these extra te...

Thanks for the reply but that's the one I bought. I had any extra pins cut off.

Re: reverb tank + sss filters + build
I did the low filter, and realized that I was 1 lug position off on the whole thing for the high filter :evil: So I'll need to do that one again. Here's the low filter. I omitted the 39K. I think I'm building something between a JM an a #002. I schematicized mhartman's layout(nice work!!) and it's ...

SSS005 Hi and Low Filters
Since nobody here has gotten their hands on SSS002 and 005 seems to be the only SSS that is known by members here, how do they operate when turned? Does the Hi increase or decrease treble when turned clockwise? And which position is bypass, 1st or last? Same question for the Low filter.

Re: SSS Cut Control?
In my opinion there are other mistakes on the filters I think before them it should be like the attached If I did this with the SSS002, do you think I should place the 0.003 cap back to where it is on the Japanese schematic? I currently have it as per the May Contain Errors schematic. I would do it...
