Grounding

Happy Easter everybody! Anybody want to talk Dumble grounding, or grounding in general? Here are my latest schematics, with power supply nodes and grounds included - the letters in circles, big ones for voltages, small ones for grounds. I'm adding as much detail to the schematic as I can think of. I...

Re: Evolution of SSS

Was the Ceriatone ever actually sold as a kit? I don't think it was, and I don't think they ever supplied a schematic. But I could be wrong. The Ceriatone was what brought me here. I heard about the amp and went to the website looking for a kit and couldn't find one. I'm actually glad it happened th...

Re: [Question] Marshall Major 200 Watts

Seems with present day hindsight and foresight a bulletproof version of a Major could be built. I agree. I was pretty happy when Chris Merren guaranteed me that my Major OT would NOT fail. I didn't ask why but I believe him, he said he knew what the issue was and his reputation is impeccable. Being...

Re: MHartman SSS layout questions

Thanks! It indeed helps I think I am on the right direction Attached I got the alternative version of the filter from MCE and matched/corrected against the JSCH I think it is free of errors but let me know if you spot anything I'll check it as I have to correct the schematic I am editing for my bui...

Re: MHartman SSS layout questions

I built my Low filter with a 1MA pot as per one of the alternate diagrams here on TAG somewhere. The bass increases as I turn the pot to 0. I built my High filter with the typical 7 position switch, and from 9 o'clock to 3 o'clock it gets less bright each time I switch, until I get to the last posit...

Re: 100W SSS Build with Amplified Nation Chassis

Sounds like a great plan! Not to be a stickler, but that's actually not an Amplified Nation chassis. That's a chassis that I designed and had fabricated a few years ago. I did sell 5 or 6 of them to Taylor at AN. Good luck with the build! Mike Oops, sorry Mike! It's funny because during my search o...

Re: MHartman SSS layout questions

I built from the MCE and my filter circuit is backwards. So I think it should opposite of the MCE. Somebody here posted a SIM of it in another thread and it is numbered correctly.

100W SSS Build with Amplified Nation Chassis

I joined here years ago and built an Express and never really thought much about the Dumbles until I was poking around earlier this year and realized the difference between the ODS and the SSS. So I modified my 50W SF Fender Bassman, got some good help from the fine people here, and was blown away w...

Re: [Question] Marshall Major 200 Watts

I never talked about NFB, but always about the concertina. The NFB is applied on the stage before the concertina. This circuit is correct: http://drtube.com/schematics/marshall/1966.gif This one is correct too: http://drtube.com/schematics/marshall/200w.gif Then I misunderstood you, thanks for resp...
