Maybe in real dumbles! What about the d'lite redux? Thought that v2b was 10uF. Only the v2B coupling cap is 0.02uF in the redux version.dogears wrote:YI have never seen bigger than 5uf with the higher plate loads.

Re: JJ 803S Gotta try em
I tried them in my ODS clone, nice sound, but a pair of selected TAD sounded nicer and more open for a ods. The 803s are now in my Fender Champ and they sound extraordinary!

Re: point to point D-lator build in hammond rack chassis
Gitarrmongot: I found a tran at Tube Amp doctor in Germany. I think it will do the job. The output voltage is not the same(150-0) but some recalculating the resitors on the voltage drop string does make the right voltage. I'm gonny give it a try. But right now I'm occupied with something else(Kleinu...

Re: point to point D-lator build in hammond rack chassis
Hi Funk, It's really great stuff you posted here. I'm a european guy and the right transformer seems to be unfindable here.
So I'm recalculating for an other transformer. 120 or 150 on secondary.
How do i calculate the greinacher voltage doubler? It is not exactly double i suppose?

Snubber caps are the caps located on pre amp tube v2.jakeddy wrote:I'm not having the best luck finding the snubber caps either. Can anyone share a good source?
If you take a look from the back of the amp in the overtone, it's the 2nd tubesocket on your right. 500v ceramic probably will do the job.

Yeah, harsh isnt exactly the right word, i'm not a native english speaker.
Maybe a bit fuzzy, without the mods, in the lower region?

Re: Effects in the loop of #124
Hi Rob,
I have tried the old Rocktron Replifex with the loop on the overtone. That worked fine with the +4dB button switched "on" on the replifex.
You need something to get that signal back up again. Most Rack units dont have it.

Hi Rob,
Is the tone you get with the overdrive mode less harsh in the low area after the mods you did? When I play the amp, particulary with strats, i had to reduce the bass to make the harsh less prominent.
edit: Removed the cap thing, that was really noob
