A part of the compression is coming from the LNFB loops. Especially when you drive the first volume pot a little more.
Not all SSS are the same as are the LNFB loops.
Which one do you have?

Re: Bluesmaster HRM question:
I was talking about the front panel pots; I hadn’t seen any real variation on the HRM board. I’m on a quest to better understand how the composition of the primary tone stack lays the foundation for an amp’s character and saw all the variations in the Bluesmaster; so I thought it might be a good le...

Re: Bluesmaster HRM question:
The Bluesmaster tonestack is not a skyliner nor a classic tonestack. While a skyliner might be low mid heavy, the Bluesmaster might be low bass heavy. Some might shave off some bass pot value to get a more usually pot swipe setting. Paying attention to the first tube voltages is imo the best solutio...

Re: 2nd gen ODS with Erwin chassis.
Really enjoying this amp. In the meantime I have made a headshell and combo cab (just need to make a front baffle to complete). Details of the circuit to date to follow, including a master (hope Erwin doesn’t mind me drilling his lovely chassis :? ). Lovely and great looking amp. That master is sim...

Hi Brian, we are ok. I was just flabbergasted, but as you pointed out it was just to be sure. I'm ok with that.

Re: Starting to populate the chassis....
I'll give it a shot, Brian Question, do the two coax cables from location "A" (black marker) go to location "B" No, those are going to the front panel "level"(marked A) and "ratio"(marked B) pots. For a good understanding of the layout, you can reference the schematic that is in the files section f...

Re: #002 Steel String Singer - almost there
That's a good question, since some of the filter components are on the boards. Maybe Erwin can look into that? I would be happy to check for problems, but I don't have his pcb files or even a picture of the traces and component positions. Maybe they are the same as Ryan's eyelet board layout? Ill d...
