I made a fresh VVR with new parts just to be sure and i have other amps i fitted the VVR to a few years back, but the difference here is that i have never done it...

Has anyone here put a VVR2 into an AC15 (trem/vib 1960s schematic)? Just need to get it confirmed that I tap into C41 and pin 3 of EZ81.

I do have a scope, just got it recently. Don't know how to use it yet though.

My TW Livrpool clone has developed a snap, crackle, pop, high pitch whistling. I think it might be a bad orange drop cap, but how do i locate where a bad cap is? I've changed all tubes and re-soldered all joints on the board.

I'll have to come back on that. I find all of the schematics hard to make out voltages on. The circuit boards are out at the moment but I'll do some voltage tests for those key places when it's back together.

Tell you the truth, the one I'm working from is the 1961 version from Stephen's book.
