Re: john mayer's two rock??

Gil,
The deep switch and the jazz position are right out of rca # Rc19 I have seen the filters in an old audio amateur I will try to find which one. General info the first three sss are completely different using cathode coupled feed back loops.

Electron
You have the first tube right, but the feed back on the second tube is taken off the cathode of a third tube .

Re: Dumbleland update (was SSS) :D

Just talk to the person dumble gave the amp to.It was a one off built as a blues amp. It has nothing to do with the s.s.s.

Re: Dumbleland update (was SSS) :D

I have pictures of the amp and know the history, Dumble was so unhappy with that amp he gave it away and than it was traded for a overseas ods
I saw it again when it came back .The letters on the amp are stickon and
and it is not a s.s.s

Re: Dumbleland update (was SSS) :D

I have had 4 s.s.s. in my shop ,they all used feedback in each preamp stage and they had e.q. switchs. The early ones used cathode feedback and the later ones used feed back like the ods.

Re: Dumbleland update (was SSS) :D

I have worked on this amp and it is not an s.s.s. It is more like a dumbleland.
