Re: Mesa Lonestar Special schematic needed
He seems to have patented everything short of breathing  For anyone else who is looking at the Lonestar Special for the 4-EL84 output stage and selectable rectifiers, there are three patents involved that may help with the Mesa implementation: Patent 7,602,927 for the power stage and patents 5,...

Re: Mesa Lonestar Special schematic needed
For the power section, you could try looking at the associated patent, US patent 7602927. It at least provides the general description of the output stage configuration.

Re: Which one of Magnetic component I can swap with Ceriatone OT
I've put an old Schumacher Twin PT in a Ceriatone OTS chassis with no issues. Not sure why you would have a problem.

Re: Anyone selling head cabinets?
The Ceriatone OTS chassis is not as deep. It is about 5/8" shallower than the Nan' 80s chassis. I have an OTS and a Nan' 80s chassis. I haven't tried the Nan chassis in the OTS cabinet, but it may be a tight fit in back due to the additional depth.

Re: Komet questions
In case you don't already have them, I'm pretty sure that the Heyboer Komet transformer numbers are: Power transformer HTS-8593 Output transformer HTS-5526-1RH Choke HTS-7750-1 When I inquired last year, the total cost was in the $280 to $300 range, as I recall. If you email Heyboer with the part nu...

What's exactly OT,choke,PT for Ceriatone Ots Thank you?
I am building a 100 watt non-HRM form a package 1 kit at the moment. I am using an old Schumacher twin reverb power transformer, a reissue twin choke, and a Heryboer Twin OT with 4, 8, and 16 ohm taps. I had to adjust the PT cutout due to the shield on the Schumacher, but it was easy. I will likely ...

Re: Schumacher Fender Twin Transformer Wiring Question
Thanks for the replies. The orange shield wire was the one that was confusing me (not a difficult thing to do, of course). The AB763 schem that I have wasn't as clear and didn't show the shield ground.
Thanks again.

Schumacher Fender Twin Transformer Wiring Question
I'm a long time lurker (Primarily because I don't know the answers to most of the questions asked here) who needs some help with a seemingly simple question. I'm starting to build an amp using a vintage Fender Twin 22756 power transformer, manufactured by Schumacher. The transformer has seven wires ...

Try the Blue Guitar site. This link has some pretty cool mods for a Classic 50:

Re: To wreck or not to wreck
You should buy geetarpicker's CD. It gives a really good demonstration of the range that an Express covers. I have a Ceriatone Express clone that I built. It took me some time to figure out how to adjust it and my guitar volume control for different situations, but I use it for everything from chick...

Re: Troubleshooting low output, distorted sound
Allynmey, Thanks for taking the time to reply. The Winged Cs that I just put in are running at 32 mA. I haven't checked the plate voltage yet, but if the plate voltage is close to the schem value of 435 VDC, 32 mA seems to be cold for a 6L6GC (<50% rated dissipation). I need to pull the chassis and ...

Troubleshooting low output, distorted sound
Having ironed out all of the issues with my Ceriatone express kit, it is time to move to the next project. I have a Fender Custom Vibrolux Reverb that has low output, distorts all the time, and has a slow (once per two seconds oscillation) pulsation to the sound. I have replaced the tubes one-at-a-t...

Finished my Ceriatone Express
Afeter some hum issues and reversed output transformer leads, I finally finished my Express. I can't say enough good things about Nik's willingness to answer quations, as well as members of this forum who were willing and able to help with troubleshooting. The amp is everything that I was expecting:...

The SS loop is available from Ironsounds. There are good reports about it on the D Lite forum. I have one on order for my DLite kit. I can post some details when I receive it.

Re: Help Biasing my new Ceria tone express Clone...Please
I just biased my Ceriatone Express for the first time. I used one of the SRS bias tools. It is one of the bias tools that plugs into one of the power tube sockets, with a pair of test leads to connect to a mA meter. Following the instructions with the bias tool, I ended up biasing the tubes at 31.8 ...
