Re: Liverpool Output Transformer
Maybe Ken was referring to the newer Pacifics that had the 5k impedance. I don't know. Why would he tell me twice about the Liverpool being 5k?.. I never have figured this out. But my old Stancor grey tx amps had the same output, Liverpool and Express..I just assumed they were both 5+K No. Both of ...

Re: Liverpool Output Transformer
No reason to be confused. We all have learned that there was never a 5k2 transformer used for a Liverpool. It was either the Old grey Stancor used for both Express and Liverpool and the newer Pacific which was a copy of the Stancor. Both 6k6. If there's is a difference in character between Stancor a...

Re: rocket choke
The Express and rocket output transformers aren't the same.
Look on the Rocket BOM for the Hammond model.

Re: 18W Express?
An 18 watts express is really an 18 watts Liverpool ain't in?
The express as it is already has 2 versions depending the power tubes used....22 watts using 6V6's and 35 watts using EL34's.

Re: OT for a rocket?
Yes but you asked for rocket....8093 sounds like a Stancor clone so that may be used for express or Liverpool.
Rocket uses a different OT.

Re: New Trainwreck chassis' coming soon via RJ
It all sounds good Jelle. Bud box was flimsy and although we don't want that,it is what it is. I hope the chassis is not way thicker than Allyn's.
The thin aluminum chassis had an effect with the sound. All the grounds go to the chassis. Just don't make it too thick!!![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Re: 1992 Trainwreck Express Katie
Very nice 2tone!! The only thing i can imagine as "gain" mod is how the input triode was biased (V1b), or maybe the extra gain stage in the second preamp tube (V2a). Changin the value of either one or the other cathode resistors would do..... ![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: Rocket Speakers Suggestion
Celestion blue and Celestion G12H-55 30 watts
Both will work. Try to have your cabinet 16 ohms.
2 8 ohms in series for 16 ohms OR 4 16 ohms series-parallel.
