Re: Starting a Business

I checked out your web site. Your Komplete Atom 18w is 647 Polish zlotys = 226.5328 US dollars (says Google) is that right? How much is shipping to US? Yes, that's right (excluding cabinet). The prices are: Atom 5W $175.00 Atom 18W $225.00 But the shipping from Europe is around $100 and there may a...

Re: Amp Building question

If this is a company to aviod, I wil take note. No, this ISN'T a company to avoid. :D The kit prices (excluding cabinets) are as follows: Atom 5W $175.00 Atom 18W $225.00 BUT shipping from Europe to the US is another $100 and you'll probably have to pay some import duty fees or taxes. The way aroun...

Re: Starting a Business

and one of those I'm still waiting for payment. Been there, too. But let's finally talk some numbers. A hypothetical case study: - parts for a 50-watter plus shipping can easily cost $1000 per amp, cos we want to build a quality product - final price should then be around $3000 - R&D for ...

Re: Amp Building question

Hi, There's also another option: get yourself a PCB kit. It's really difficult to screw sth up if you have a ready-made PCB. I hope it's alright to advertise a little here  These are 5 Watt and 18Watt Soldano Atomic based amps. 5W is SE of course and 18W has a Marshall 18W power amp with catho...

Re: Three Channel Switching?

Yes, a three channel amp could be compared to three different preamps in one chassis. There usually are some stages that are common to two or three channels though. It's quite a challenge to wire such a circuit on a turret board as it'll most probably contain some IC's... The schem to look at...

Re: Structo....question 4 U

I know my name isn't Structo, but... :D

Attached you'll find the schem. I don't think you balance for equal voltage with a DMM. You balance for richest harmonics with a guitar. Usually you'll end up with 5V difference. I have no idea about the bottom end though...

Re: Stumbled across this, one hell of a Homebrew

Why 500mA though, seems kinda high. 1. You don't really know how much cathode current you have at full drive. I think 150mA per tube is possible. Don't confuse it with idle current. 2. When a tube is faulty (shorted) much greater current flows through it, so even a bigger fuse will blow. Marvel the...

Re: Stumbled across this, one hell of a Homebrew

I proudly announce that the amp in the first post was made in Poland by our Polish tube amp guru Tom. He runs a very informative amp-building website (in Polish only): http://www.mif.pg.gda.pl/homepages/tom/ ChrisM -> from the above website: [img:640:480]http://www.mif.pg.gda.pl/homepages/tom/images...

Re: D'Lite 6V6

Thanks. :D Yes, there'a a tube rctifier because I got hold of a set of transformers (including choke, too) as someone was upgrading Deluxe Reverb Reissue, so I decided not to waste the tube rectifier heaters tap. In fact I also used Fender's bias supply and poweramp values. And of course had to chan...

Re: relay and FET boards

I've found something like that:
http://www.tube-town.net/ttstore/produc ... s-PCB.html

Very good price - about 1$ each :D But they're in Germany, so shipping takes 10 working days or so.

D'Lite 6V6

Hi all, It's my first post to the forum, although I've been reading for some time now. My name's Marcin amd I'm from Poland. I've just powered up my D'Lite for the first time. It was too late to plug the guitar in, but the amp is definitely working. :D Thanks a lot to the guys who shared the D'Lite ...
