That all sounds good Mark.
Have a ball, just remember with that much gain, keep your leads short, and watch transformer placement.

Re: dr z mazerati gt
Yes the technical interaction is nice.
I enjoy the give and take, I appreciate learning something new.
I'll help out , but no kits, I don't have enough phone time available to support it.

Re: dr z mazerati gt
Let's see.
Yes a simple series loop can be fitted.
The Master is a dual ganged PPI type, with very little if any tone change.
The Brake-Lite will work with the stock RX ES, it will get hot..... but it will be fine.

Re: dr z mazerati gt
jcat the Mazerati GT is a higher gain amp, a bit of a one trick pony but a nice trick. From what you asked I would say the RX ES is better suited. The RX has a full EQ and a EF-86 as a recovery stage. The 3 dB boost runs on the EF-86, added by-pass cap to the cathode, for a nice FS lead boost. It us...

Re: dr z mazerati gt
Yeah the MAZerati GT is a cascaded 12AX7 using a voltage divider into a VOX style PI. I used the CUT as the tone control .0047/250K.
50 ohm single bias resistor.
Pretty simple amp, and it is loud and very high gain.

Re: Delete reverb from posted (somewhere else) Ma* 18 schema
If this question is kosher ..... I want to build this amp without reverb as I have heard it may have better gain character. I would like to know what point I can attach the pre amp Master pot wiper to the power amp. I was guessing the .01 input cap at the PI. What I want to make s...

Re: Maz GT OT impedence ?
The maz PT was increased so I would use the 300-0-300 TW Heyboer tranny with the 5v tap for the GZ34 rectifier. This amp also uses the split load cathode bias. I would use a 4k to 5k2 OT 35W again TW type or Vox AC30 replacement.
Sounds good. The OT is a KF design 4K with a...
