just noticed he wired HOT (black) to the fuse then PT.. and white (neutral) to the switch and then PT. so the switch is on neutral... any thoughts on that? usually switch is on HOT

Just curious. Does anyone recognise the make of this resistor? It's likely it's the cathodyne bias resistor: Rb = 1.5k. 9 - bias resistor.jpg Piher? its a prototype for fender to mass produce... so its not gonna be any hard to get vintage parts... new mercury transformers and parts you can buy now ...

i don't know the answer.. but we are talking two different deluxes... the 4 cap one is a vintage 50's amp with vintage iron.. and this one for sale is modern reissue proto for mass production using modern iron..

the pics are from Emerald City Guitars youtube video... and in the video they said it was a boutique amp build, the vox cloth one. and also in the video he was gifted a dumble pignose.

"optimized" just means dumble does zero mods to the circuit but he just changes parts selection in a few spots to get the circuit doing what it does the best it can,. and of course changing parts that wear out.... robben ford had some dumble optimized fender super reverbs for sale and he did basical...

i think he was trying to say he thought it was serial #73 amp he borrowed for the vid.

those giant blue 470ohm resistors on the power tubes strapped together... any idea what brand and type those are? i guess you can swap connections on the tubes

diaz made warrens amp... ive seen it... this is made by peter i assume and he changed it from 2 OT's to one for whatever reason...

hmmm..... warrens has 2 output transformers...

why not build a liverpool with a SS rec / tube switch... bet you'll keep it on SS tho.
