Re: Silly rocket volume output question

the voltage guide in the tw files area indicate that the voltages should be 285, I don't think 10 volts should make a difference, especially with how rectifier tubes vary

thanks

Re: A Marshall AFD Sqealing problem (video included)

yes it is a brand new build and the presence pot really does not affect the squeal but rather acts like a second master volume, which is a bit annoying....as far the primary's on the ot being switch, i wish it was that easy but that's definitely not it. here is the design if anyone is interested htt...

A Marshall AFD Sqealing problem (video included)

I built a ceriatone AFD 50 and it is a great amp, more scooped than i would have imagined but it is squealing a bit when I turn up the gain or volume...take a look at the video and i am open to any suggestions

Re: Silly rocket volume output question

Sorry for the delay but you know how life is sometimes unexpected things happen. I think the voltages are cool but let me know if they seem crazy to you.

Thanks again!

How much should I sell my clone

I was approached to sell my ceriatone dumble overdrive special hrm it has mercury magnetic transformers and is in mint condirion. It is a 100 watter and the tubes are still good. What would be a cool and fair price?

Silly rocket volume output question

I have built the express, liverpool and the rocket. The rocket sound great but when compared to the others 2 amps it is has very low volume....any ideas? i switched tubes around and it wasn't the tubes, I thought the rocket and LIVERPOOL are similar in terms of output. but the liverpool is a lot lou...

Re: JM Express Constance

Just saw this as well, way too funny I love the "these suckers are incredible and many owners of original Ken built amps claim the new ones surpass the originals". The thing that is annoying is calling it the "real deal" - It is not!! I am sure it sounds very good and i even considered buying one my...

Re: Before I buy alnicos

An update: - I purchased the Fane Medusa, Scumback M75 and the Jensen Blackbird. First, I have to say that the Scumback and Fanes are great speakers and together they are unbelievable. ....Jim - you make a great speaker There is bass for days, I have to turn treble up! Imagine that, doing this on a ...

Re: Trouble Shooting an Amp

i checked the dc filament voltages and it came in at 3.5 vdc....this is a summing when you say "at pin 9 with respect to 4/5" you mean put leads on pin 4 and pin 9 then on pin 5 and pin 9. As far as the bridge rectifiers I pulled them out and they checked out okay on the diode test but the resistenc...

Trouble Shooting an Amp

I'v had a carvin valve master amp for sometime which i modded (hasserl mod) and it worked great until i decided that i knew more than i did and made more changes and what you know it stopped working. The amp was subsequently shelved, since then I have built 6 amps and know a little more. This is wha...

Re: Upgrades to a Ceriatone "Rock It" kit?

Nik at Ceriatone is a terrific guy and I have 2 of his amps and I cant say enough positive things. I will say this, order the amps with no transformers, first you will save a ton on shipping and then you can use what ever you like. I put MM in a AFD #35 and OD special,,,they both sound great. He wil...
