Thanks to all
What are for you the best sounding parts value combination for the overdrive section of the Non HRM.
Cheers

Re: OD section Robben Ford Dumble
Thanks for the facts.
So I think I have to do with trial and error on modding to achieve that sound.

OD section Robben Ford Dumble
Hi, I searched in the forum topics for the RF dumble. There are a lot of topics displayed. Before I read all I think it better to ask for. I guess anybody knows the answer directly without thinking about it. What for type of overdrive section is in the RF dumble applied? The Type with snubbers and w...

Clean section crunch
Hello,
Is the clean section always used for pure clean sound at the Dumble?
Are all crunch sounds generate in the OD section only then?
regards
Manfred

Re: Two OD sections
Where is the bass and treble control of the OD1 channel located in the circuit? Is this a baxandall tone control or a standard tone control?
As far as I can rember I loked to a schematic in this have been only a highcut control as final network.

Re: Different wiring OD-stage Snubber capacitors
Hi Tom, the AC-equivalent circuit has another arrangement than the DC-circuit. The power supply acts as short circuit, thus the plate resistor is grounded at the powersupply side. The cathode is almost grounded by the low resistance of the cathode capacitor for as little as 2000 Hertz. The AC-resist...

Different wiring OD-stage Snubber capacitors
Hi, In the equivalent AC-circut of the common cathode stage the plate resistor is in parallel to the internal tube resistance. The cathode resistor is disregarded for this view, because it's bypassed by the cathode capacitor for the frequency range where the snubber capacitors takes an effect. Thus,...

Re: OD trim voltage value
If the guitar player uses single coil and humbucker pickups, then it would be helpfull to have a trim potentiometer switch respectively a gain switch for the clean section.

Re: OD trim voltage value
Thanks to all.
The trim pot setting is quiet clear now, but the problem is that there are different trim pots and series resistors depending on the used circuit.
That's the reason for my question regarding the signal voltage value which feeds the OD-stage.

Hi,
How about is the maximal voltage value at the trim potentiometer taper for best od tone?
