Re: favourite film?
+2 for Shaun of the Dead. Also love all the Mel Brooks stuff (e.g. Young Frankenstein, History of the World). Monty Python's Holy Grail, too. All excellent choices. All you Shaun fans have a new movie to look forward to....Paul {The Movie}. It filmed here in New Mexico last summer. Simon Pegg and N...

Re: Motorcycles and musicians
Nice variety showing up here! Interesting tidbit for the bikers...I asked Peter Fonda once what happened to the Capt. America bike from Easy Rider. He said that between the time the movie filmed and came out, he put the bike in a storage locker in Taos and someone broke in and ripped it off. He said...

Motorcycles and musicians
One of my brother Ken's early jobs was fixing motorcycles. Riding was his favorite thing, outside of amps and music. I've noticed that an unusual amount of his musician buddies also had bikes. Motorcycles and guitars seem to go hand in hand. He taught me to ride when I was 12 and I owned bikes befor...

Re: Trademark Infringement
Justsaymo Was John Mark really a good close friend and associate of Ken's? I have heard it both ways from people in the know... I first met John Mark before Trainwreck when Ken was doing repairs. I was in my mom's kitchen, on the phone, when I heard some incredible guitar rifts coming from downstai...

Re: Trademark Infringement
Ok...first off...I made a general statement about the trademark. Who specifically did I accuse? A lot of people who do not even post on this site come here for tech info. Other builders read posts here. Why do you take this info as a threat? It is not my intention to stir up personal animosities. Se...

Re: Trademark Infringement
The truth is, by the family's own definition, is that the family is the only ones counterfeiting Trainwreck Amps. Scott (the original poster and Ken's brother), stated to me in a couple of letters that only Ken can build a TW. He also told me that TW died with him...period. He also stated emphatica...

Re: Trademark Infringement
OK....The trademark WAS renewed and is carefully watched. FYI, Ken put massive effort into protecting his trademark. Just yesterday, I spent 20 minutes on the phone with an amp builder who was using the name on his own brand of amps. It is a constant! C'mon guys, haven't you seen all the demos onlin...

Trainwreck name
Yes, I'm family. For the record, I said nothing about clones. My post was strictly about the name. You would be surprised how many people help themselves to the name. I've seen it on numerous sites with amps for sale, you tube demos, and in person at guitar and amp shows. I see no need to name indiv...

Trademark Infringement
For those of you who are unaware, the name Trainwreck is a registered trademark and has been for many years. That name cannot be used on amps built without legal consent, nor can that name be used to sell your own products. I suggest that anyone including the name Trainwreck as part of their own pro...
