bud chassis run

Post by selloutrr »

Over the last 3 years i've contacted bud industries about a dozen times with the same question. "can you make a custom order run of the bud AC-425 chassis?" Today i recieved what i think is some exciting news! Bud Industries is willing to make the bud AC-425 chassis as a special order run. The minimum is 50 pieces at $27 each plus freight and quoted a 4-6 week production time from the time the order is placed and payment is made in full. I personally only need 4, but if enough people are interested i'd be happy to place an order.

I was gonna ask about getting the right KF bottom plate. What was the deal with that?

(Will to resist pack-ratting parts dropping . . . )

The bottom plate that Ken used had 4 dimples (Feet if you will) that actually stood the chassis up off the bottom of the cab about 1/8 of an inch.

I thought the Hammond bottom plate worked for that and that is what I used on one and built the bottom plates myself for the others.
