Your using up spare parts I can see, I like that.

Did you decide on which transformers you are going with?

Hi Mark

I did order the dual 33 FT cap...will see how that goes.

Going with a Mag Comp 18watt OT and a Hammond 270FX PT
may try a 9H 40mA choke also...

Thanks

That board looks like the AES boards I buy so they area 2 mm, 180 Holes, 300mm x 60mm

The spacing is 10mm.

Looks to me that part of the reverb circuit on the board is not correct the 500pf cap, 1M resistor, 820R resistor and the 22-25uf cap. You seem to have one to many resistors to my eyes and the orientation is backwards?

Rocket Reverb

Nice Darin - Very Nice. Well Done.
The head box looks vaguely familiar in design.
I had trouble with my verb at start up too. Checked everything in the circuit first. I'd plugged it in backwards.
Have fun with her.

Thanks for looking
Mark..I'm using KT66 layout from this thread
http://ampgarage.com/forum/download/file.php?id=15096

I was more simple in my build but added the Mid pot,and Dwell pot
was thinking about adding a footswitch for the boost

Thanks Bob
Cab is a knockdown drawer kit...screwed up and ordered it a bit too small
had to use a 16x8x2 chassis
this design has a great clean sound...would like to hear it with the reverb working, probably something simple I've done wrong

Darin, I finally got my 2 holer going, and I had the same no reverb problem that you are having. So, I got out my signal tracer and followed the reverb signal until it stopped, and I discovered that the problem was a mistake in my layout that I should have caught earlier. The problem is that the reverb recovery stage's coupling capacitor is connected to the wrong point. It should be on the plate of the stage, but I mistakenly put it at the junction of the plate resistor's connection to the power supply.

I fixed mine by replacing the under board wiring to the PI entrance so that it was long enough to stretch down to the 220K resistor on the tube side of the board and reversed the coupling cap connections so it was right. It might be easier to just move the coupler to the edge of the board, then you wouldn't have to mess with the under board wiring.

The layout that Dcribbs1412 referenced above has been updated, so that link no longer works. Here is the new link to that layout : http://ampgarage.com/forum/files/2xel84 ... et_462.pdf

Sorry about that error, I usually am very careful when I make a layout and thoroughly check every connection against the schematic, but somehow I missed that. Below is a pic of how I fixed the issue in my amp :
