It's always good to see new developments with these amps. I'm a little surprised the tapped fast/slow switch isn't a part of more TW clones.

Sound clip for comparative sake (excuse my timing!) I am no pro so it is what it is.

The power is down to only 40% and it is still pretty loud so probably the reason it doesn't clean up as well as usual. Les Paul neck vol low, bridge vol low, bridge vol midway and then bridge vol opened up. 4x12 Marshall cab w/black backed Cel speakers from '81. Straight into amp, no software editing or audio medication. I haven't really figured out how to use Studio One yet but I did get it to work.

I do enjoy the tone, touch and response of the amp so I probably won't change much if anything. Hope it is helpful. Regards

You did it all really right. The recording sounds good too!

Very interesting amp. That's a great smoldering tone you got there! :)

6BM8 Wreck

Post by RJ Guitars »

Awesome - I love the innovation in addition to the great look of those amps... then an MP3 as well. That is a great contribution to the forum. Very nicely done and adds another low power option for wreck builders to consider. I have always wanted to build something with the 6BM8 tubes. Thanks for sharing. rj
