I tend to color outside the lines a lot when it comes to amp cloning so keep that in mind. IIRC the 6V6GT tube was either designed for or selected for automotive radio use because it had fairly low power requirements... I can't remember where I read that but at any rate it is true.
Therefore I feel it's reasonable to build an amp around them with substantially smaller iron than you'd need for most of the other common octal tubes. I am working on a series of amps that I call the "Sweet 16" amps that are all powered by either a pair of 6V6GT's or EL84's, using 125mA Edcor power iron. This iron worked out excellent in my 2 hole Liverpool amps and I know that Edcor has about a 100% safety margin in their power ratings so I am a believer it will all work. I'm also going with the 15 watt output transformers they wind for me (8.1K ohm primary).

Filter caps are small 22uf 400V on board with green and red leads.
Nice pcb bias board...what is the 1M to ground off the HT tap?

That is one of my best friends - it bleeds the voltage off the filter caps and lets me stick my hand in there with some hope it won't bite...

No reason you couldn't use a 1M bleeder resistor. It will just increase the time in takes to drain down the capacitor(s) it is serving.
