mcl... keep in mind that the output transformer is rated at 8 ohms. I don't know what your cabinets are but the output tranny I use is a Fender Pro Junior tranny rated for an 8 ohm speaker.

That is a good looking little unit and allowed me to look into the various cabinet colors. The only down side is that custom cabinet work makes the delivery pretty slow.

The Uberkab is also 8 ohms.

Mine is on its way.

I'm planning to build my own cab, and I have some...unusual ideas.

Stay tuned.

Cantplay,

I am greatly pleased to have another one of these out there. These are great sounding amps and a really fun project. I am looking forward to your progress reports, and especially to learn more about your unusual ideas... that is what keeps the forum interesting and lets us all learn something.

Funny timing I was just playing through mine last week through a 212, fun little bugger :)

I ran my pedal board through it to what that would sound like, nice.

I've been playing mine quite often through an open back 2x10 loaded with an Eminence Lil Buddy and a Legend. I've been knocking a few db off with a Dr. Z break lite as well. Fantastic tones, more than enough volume for practice/smaller events, takes pedals like a dream, and super light!

I lent it to a buddy of mine a little while back, he doesn't seem to want to part with it. Awesome little amp.

The kit arrived today.

This is an example of the attention to detail in packing the components.

I should have this together before too long.

Hey Kids, I've decided that I want to make use of all the leftover parts and pieces from this project and build something a little more user friendly. Check this out if you are curious - thanks, rj
