i thought the ef86 channel just jammed the pi for its distortion... the ef86 itself just provides a bit of compression... it would probably work on the clean (lightning) side though. then again im not exactly an amp guru either.

Howdy to everyone from a newby. I was looking at this mod and have a question. Does the 250k phase balance pot have to be installed for the master mod to work properly? It may be a dumb question but I am still learning.

No, this is not a Express schematic BTW.

I'm not sure I understand your reply. I thought this was a general MV mod for any nonMV amp such as a plexy TW or whatever.

Vantamp- Your correct that this is a generic MV mod. I stated that it was not a Trainwreck schematic only because you were asking about the 250K phase balance. I didn't want you to be confused since you stated you were "still Learning." Sorry for the confusion!


Did you end up trying the MV circuit? What did you think?
