Guys,
I have read, that people feel a choke on the power board would sound better than the resistor that is in the express schematics/layout.
My question is, does the choke go in the circuit in place of the 1K 25W resistor on the power supply board, just ahead of the capacitor stack?
Thanks

"better" is subjective. look at the rocket PS, a choke replaces
1k-25w R between the CT and screens. Try it, maybe marshall like.

no it sounds and feels far worse, esp with a normal choke (110ohms dc resistance instead of 1k)

Re: Choke versus resistor for power filtering
So I have a 3Hy, 250mA choke for a Marshall. Would I have to include a capacitor or another resistor in series with it? Are any additions needed to maintain the voltages?

just the choke, again look at the rocket schem. I cant remember but ken used the 1k for a reason. Try it and report your findings.
Re: Choke versus resistor for power filtering
try 890R in series to maintain voltage
