Well , after playing around with the 6W6 tubes and then trying a set of 6V6`s I couldn`t help but scrap the old "RadioPool" idea . I kept the toroid P.S. @ 297vdc B+1 but altered the values a little for the rest of the P.S. string to R31 = 1K5 25W(B+2/273vdc) , R32 = 9K(B+3/241vdc) , R33 = 8K(B+4/222vdc) , R34 = 5K(B+5/213vdc . R23 + R24 bias resistors @ 180R with a parallel switch to change to 90R/440uF . OT is Hammond 1650HA 6600 CT 40W . V1 is JAN ECG 5751 V2 is Westinghouse 7025* V3 is JAN ECG 5751 V4-V7 Sovtek(Mesa) . Used Orange drops for this build rather than the Panasonics in my Rocket . Really Hard to tell what sounds better because the tone stacks are different , but the sound is still that beutiful TrainWreck tone . This is a little tamer than the rocket in the volume dept. but still keeps up( volume 4-5) with a miked set of drums - 400W bass and 2 other guitarists with 100WMB`s at "jam nite" at the warehouse . I also tweaked R2 to 1k5 and R5 to 2K2(added a 3 position boost switch for cathode bypass 22uF/none/47uF) , R3- R6- R9 changed to 68K to compensate for the slightly lower P.S. This amp sounds awesome , Many thanks to all the people at TAG especially Ron Worley DrHulsey Mark Abbot Matt Taylor and all the other people that contributed their time and great effort .

I think the front end is the same as an Express , but the power section is cathode bias like a Liverpool . I have built a Rocket , but not an Express so I am not sure if the main boards are the same . I modified the LiverPool dwg. for this build . Cabinet is Pine (Alberta has lots of it) and the face plate is actually maple from Home Depot .
