Pretty simple and generic circuit, but a few "quirks" of my choosing:
- Supports an internal and/or external fuse (idea is to put a larger fuse inside to protect against a diode or cap failure, while the one that's easily reachable behind the amp is after the reservoir so it can be made just big enough to fail when a tube shorts)
- 3 diodes per row. Diodes are cheap. 2 can fail and you're still good.
- 10W resistor between plate and screen supply or you can just use the pads to wire a choke in its place
- DC elevation circuit included as I like to build amps with cathode followers (plus it's quieter)
- Filament balancing resistors included as well
For anyone unfamiliar with Kicad, blue traces are on the back, red on the front.
Mounting holes are for #6 screws, with large clearance so the high voltage traces will never arc to them.
Appreciate any feedback

Looks great! I usually use 270k for the bleeders on the Main caps but 220k is fine too. Maybe it would be nice to have the preamp Electrolytics on this board as well. Maybe room for 3 of them at least. Also maybe the ability for a Bassman/Marshall style bias supply (2 x 10uf 160v caps with 15k resistor between them).
Cheers

Thanks for the checking it out. I do prefer to keep preamp electros on the preamp board so I can better manage ground flows.Guy77 wrote: ↑Mon Aug 10, 2026 8:27 pm Looks great! I did also put the bias supply on the preamp board as it makes it easy to feed the PI output. But a case could definitely be made for having it on this board as the plan is to have the "boring' stuff already done while I build different types of circuits

if you're already going the PCB route, i would just put everything on one board. makes it much easier to send each nodes' grounds back to their respective filter caps, and also keep paths much shorter, leading to quieter operation. just lay your power section out along the bottom of your board, feeding each node along the way. Having multiple PCBs just means a rats nest of wires to manage. just my opinion, having done it both ways.
