Bludotone Ojai video from NY Amp Show

Post by dogears »

Here is a quick video shot by Jimmy Hill from VVT amps (cool dude!) of Bill Holter trying out my Bludotone rig. Nothing added or EQed. What you hear is what Jimmy heard from his seat on the sofa about 5 or 6 feet from the rig. Amp is a non HRM Skyline and the speakers are Celestion G1265. Suhr MiniMix handling parallel mixing of the TC G Major 2 into the Loopalator. Cables are about 5-6 feet of special mil spec 18 gauge coax. Need to work with the big master bright cap.

Being posted to demonstrate the on axis room tone of the total system.

Just a quick correction.. Bill Holter not Jimmy(The guy playing the amp) Does along with myself most of the demos here @ VVT and at the shows..It's not a big deal just want to give Bill some props as he is a fabulous guitarist.. We have been good friends for quite a while.. Bill actually has part of his finger lost (left hand) in an accident and still plays like he does is pretty remarkable.. Bill was actually the guy who helped me get started in the biz.. Carry on!!

Oops... So Jim's last name is not Hall. I was confused. Your partner shot these. What is his last name?

Ahhh!!.. Gottcha.. Yeah Jim Hill..Confused too.. By the split they were referring to my future move to Richmond come spring..I'll open a 2nd shop and handle all the Custom amps and Mods and help with new designs still under the VVT name..Jim is more than capable of handling things here on his own..We are forever brothers and will NEVER split..

Nice video - just curious how loud you had that thing to get it to sing like that, Brandon seems to be the master at getting amps to give up those goods. It doesn't sound too loud but hard to tell. Also, you managed to sell a Zoom Q3 for them, I was so impressed by the sound I bought one :-)
