I've been looking at this as well. I'm sure it will work, though can't comment on how it will sound. The specs say 2350ohm output compared to 2000ohm for the twin. This ot was also used in the red knob twin.
I was looking for the specs for the tonemaster pt and couldn't find any. Looks like a heavy chunk of iron. Almost 15lbs. I'm curious if it would work with el34s.
Any reason you want to use the tonemaster ot?

hi, I don't know the difference from 2000 and 2350 OHM sec. But Tonemaster is more expensive trafo!

The Tonemaster PT was the one used in RF #102 amp you can find info and part #'s in this thread..(pg.2)
BTW..If the TM PT is in good shape I would think it would handle the 34's no problem..Just keep an eye on the trans. temp a bit after you install it..

As far as the OT goes the TM OT used in the Red Knob Twin would IMO make for some nice output Iron.(Iv'e built Steel amps with this iron).I wouldn't worry about the slight mismatch in impedance.. Definitely worth the try and don't see why you wouldn't like it.. If not you could always swap it out..

Hope This Helps!!

I've done one w/ that OT.
Used an old Fender(Schumacher) PT with it in a BM config.
It'll work.

Thanks for your input! I think I'll try to build an amplifier with this kind of trafo.
