What secret? I did not hear anything in that clip special. Any good HRM build would get you there IMO.

Donnelly's strat sounds 'right' in the clip - Even with the tone controls at 12 o'clock - that can't be a standard HRM/Skyliner. :?

Some of the skyliner tonestack values must be different like 47n mid cap and 100k slope. :?:

The Emerald Pro had the 100K slope and .047uf midcap. That helps the non boosted tone A LOT. Cleans out the woof.

Thanks - I'm colorblind - no kidding.
Me too, red/green for me. about 5% of men are, 1% of women.

In EE college one of my first exams was color code, simple, sort the resistors, except I couldn't see the colors. Professor tried to fail me until another student with a prosthetic arm chimed in and said "are you gonna fail me because I can't pick up the resistors?". A red faced professor wrote down the colors for me. I aced the exam.

Scott, thanks for that info - IMO you really need to tweak these fine amps a tiny bit if you're primarily a strat player. Gonna do the '100k slope + 47n mod' on a switch on the bottom of the chassis on my skyliner amps.
