Haha, I just know folks seem to always prefer the Rock mode... even for jazz!
Has anyone simmed the classic stack?

Re: Favorite tonestack for cleans
I just built a D'Lite version with 6V6's and I used 10uf bypass caps instead of 5uf and that helped a bit with single coils.
However,it shows a 270pf treble cap on the Dlite layout and if you sub in a .0015uf cap instead,or even a .002uf,the amp blossoms like crazy.Or at least it did with mine.
Those amps typically have LOTS of treble on tap and I find with low output single coils that I have to work the tone controls on the guitar a lot.
I've tried Fuchs,Ceriatones,Two Rocks etc,and they all seem similarly voiced.
But this amp just absolutely shines with single coils and, humbuckers too for that matter.
That's the clean channel. The distortion channel is flat out gorgeous now.
the beauty is,it still has plenty of treble if I want it.I just have to turn the treble up or flip up the bright switch or turn the presence up.
It shifted the treble frequencies to a very pleasant spot!
My strat with Texas Specials is fabulous and my Tele with Nocaster custom shop pups is insanely good.My 72 Custom Tele with Telenator Widerange humbuckers is over the top.
Just a small move in the right direction can make your whole day!
I also experimented with using 10meg resistors instead of 22meg in the local feedback and it likes that a lot.Bloom amundo!

Crystal latice or vacuum, that is the question.
