Source for Suede in Europe?

Post by ElectronAvalanche »

Hi!

I am looking for a source of Suede in Europe. Maybe some of you guys have already identified a maker/source and used the material. I plan on having my SSS clone covered with Suede.

Would appreciate any help!

Thanks,

Electron

You can go to any online shop that sells cloths for clothing etc. just type it in google.. it's very cheap compared to tolex. use thick bisontex made for putting carpets on stairs.. if you use normal sprayglue it can soak up the cloth and you get stains.

Hi Jelle,

thanks for your kind offer. I decided to go for real suede and ordered some from an online shop. Will post some pics once the cabinet is finished!So this amp is not going to be a vegan amp! ;-)

@Kassie:

Thank you for your tip!
I have looked at microsuede, Bisontex and Alcantara and did not like the way they look.

That's an excellent amp, I saw in the other thread, that will get a classy box.
What glue do you intend to use?

Bisontex is a type of glue, sold in a can.. it's like a paste, used to glue carpets. it works better than normal spray glue. Don't know if they sell it in England, perhaps a different brand. Just go to any hardware store and look up for pasty carpet glue... thank me later.
