Ruby Gold caps?

Post by AtomCap »

Has anyone used Ruby gold caps in a build? They sort of resemble F&T Caps and you can get them at discounted prices from partsexpress of all places..
Was a tad weary to try them for a recap job I'm working on...

Figured I'd throw it out there.

Hi!
These are caps made by F&T for Ruby. Same as the TAD gold caps. I just don't know if they ae the same as the normal F&T caps. But I guess so, cause they have the same dimensions.
Very good qualit caps whatever!
Cheers,

Dumble used them in the Tweed Deluxe amp. That being said, the new Ruby Gold caps seem to be different, non-polarized caps (unlike F&Ts).

At one I time I believe they were made by F&T. I'm not sure about the latest ones. The new ones are polarized, but are double crimped like non-polarized caps.

Ruby Gold Caps

We've used them. Always had good results. Now we use the TADS, no better no worse.

Well, I pulled the trigger on them, making a pair of small tweedle-champs with added tone knob and adding a boost to it as well just for the hell of it- will be built up with the ruby's, they look good, have a good feeling about them, will post pics :)
