Good. Post a followup when you get it working.

Relay Pics
Here are a couple pics of the relays I designed and sold. The amp pic is a D'Lite I built for a customer.
The FWB and the extra LEDs (use 'em if you need 'em) can be seen.

Follow up on relay for D'lite build
Just wanted to let everyone now that I got the relay working fine for PAB and OD. Its running off the 5 volt lines from my power transformer and the LEDs are working too! Thank you angelodp for emailing me your hook up diagram. I used a 2 button Marshall type footswitch. The cleans are amazing on these amps and the overdrive is great!
I was thinking about my next build. I heard a slo100 clone on youtube recently and I like the overdrive from that amp a lot! I found a diagram on the Weber site called Heather.
https://taweber.powweb.com/store/kits_weber.htm#Heather
It looks like a Slo 100 clone and I think this will be my next build!
50 watts is ok but I feel I can get a more ballsy overdrive even at lower volumes with a 100 watt amp. Please correct me if I am wrong.
thanks everyone! Awesome site!

More Rock n Roll sounding overdrive and cleans!
I made 2 adjustments on my d'lite clone that really changed the sound to my liking and just wanted to let everyone know!
I turned down my overdrive trim pot from about 100k to 45k and I removed the LNFB on V1b. WOW the cleans and the overdrive became much more hard rock sounding!
I think this will be my desert island amp lol!

Oh no! Now there's no need to build the SLO 100!Guy77 wrote:I think this will be my desert island amp lol!

Re: Relay for D'lite 22/33
I was asked to post a guy shot of my amp. I attached a few photos. She is not the neatest but she sure sounds great! It was also hard to get so much into a 16x8 chassis!
The big Blue filter caps and 3 small black ones give me 90uf . 60 uf for power tubes and 30 uf for preamp tubes. The big white resistor on the left is a 10 watt 50R resistor and gives the effect of a tube rectifier. I tried all sizes and this sounded best!
The Back panel shot shows the foot pedal jack on the far right for OD and PAB. Beside that are the Send and Receive effects loop. below that is a switch that turns the yellow capacitor over the first preamp tube on and off.
there is a dial for Impedance selector and bias jacks as well.
Cheers!

Sounds like you have it relatively underfiltred for a Dumble style supply; 20uF on the plates, 40uF at the screens and 10uF at each preamp node.Guy77 wrote:

Yes the pre amp tubes are low. I will increase them to 22uf each ( up from the 10uf each). That will put me at 120uf total.
I tried increasing the plates but it sounded too stiff when I did that.
When I increase the screens it does not sound stiff its just increasing the plates that make it sound stiff. Strange......
Also I dont really run the amp very hard bedroom levels mostly. Maybe if I played it louder ( in the garage) I would like the increased filtering.
I was always using a 57 Tweed deluxe(clone) before building this amp (16uf at the plates) and I guess I am just use to that sweet tweed style low filtering. lol
